Hydrology at Proposed Development
The Buncombe County Board of Adjustment just approved a scaled back proposal to devleop a large tract of semi-rural land near Warren Wilson College.
This map shows the hydrology of the new devlopment. There are several draiage points to Bull Creek (east inside of parcel) and the Sannannoa River (south of parcel). Any of them are suitable for stormwater retention wetlands and we will be recommending to the developer that the "farmland" part of the proposed development that so many of the neighboring farmers find insulting, be replaced with with a wetland along Bull Creek.
